Barf, I say.  But some awards.....

Team MVP:  Paul Konerko (.300, 37 hr, 98 rbi) noses out Beltran (.275, 30, 105).  Honorable mention to Jason Varitek (.269, 37d, 25hr, 81rbi, caught every inning of the 1st 138 games).

Team "Sigh":  Rocker (7-6, 16 s, 3.33 era, 94 K in 70 innings).

Best starter (Benson) was 10-15 with a 5.21 era.

Hard to believe....

Steve Avery.. pitched in 19 games, 9 starts, and allowed 74 hits and 88 walks(!!!!) in 72 innings, with 12 homers and only 41 k's.  4-4, 7.25. Had 10 hitters hit under .240, and 10 pitchers with era's over 6.  That's symmetry! :)
The trifecta of Hentgen (since dealt), Ponson (ditto), and Snyder combined to go 9-38, with an era near 8.00.

Wait 'til next year!
